On September 2, 2014 the Central New York PGA held the Folds of Honor Pro-Am Tournament at Tuscarora Golf Club in Camillus, New York.  All of the proceeds raised at this event will benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation.

The Folds of Honor Foundation provides post-secondary educational scholarships for children and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled while serving our great nation.  Since its inception over 5,500 scholarships have been given out and by the time we tee it up for this event that number will have increased to 7,000.  The Foundation’s flagship fundraiser is Patriot Golf Day, the largest grassroots golf platform in the country. With the support of the PGA of America and USGA, Patriot Golf Day has had over 5,000 golf courses in the United States participate.  Last year the Central New York Section contributed nearly $70,000 thanks to the efforts of local PGA members, facilities and events similar to this.

The first Tuscarora Event raised $11,000 for the Folds Of Honor Foundation.  Since then a total of $47,000 has been raised through the four years Tuscarora has hosted this event.  Thank you to all members, sponsors, soldiers and volunteers that participated in this fundraiser.
